Grand Turk Island This one was by far the only place in the itinerary that had nothing extraordinary. The beach is not too good since it has many rocks. I didn't snorkel or scuba but I guess it would have been good for that since there are a lot of reefs in the area. Nice to stay at the Margaritaville.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Best beach of the entire itinerary. Wanted to stay there longer!
San Juan, Puerto Rico Loved the Bacardi Rum factory tour and Old San Juan!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Most scenic of the islands visited on the itinerary. A must is a tour that takes you up the mountains and visits Megan's Beach!

Karen L from Adams,Ma
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
the port of calls were nice and the shows were good.
Cons:
the food wasn't that great. Also didn't care for tthe virus that went around. My husband and I were both sick.
I didn't think they did enough to stop the virus from going around ship. Before it went out again it should have been clean from top to bottom!
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Moat of the time the food was cold.
Stateroom Quality I wonder what happens when there are 3 older adults in a room. Do they still have to use a bunker bed. I can't see a70 year old climbing a ladder to get to her bed!

the ship was beautifully maintained, clean as it could be, yet you hardly ever saw anyone cleaning
Ship Quality
Dining/Food

Too short and it ended. Couldn't stay my whole life!
Best week of my life. There is something for everyone to do! Don't have to worry about your kids. Its just relax and everybody does their own thing. Great shore excursions!

Perfect vacation!!! by
Liz P. from Columbus, NJ
Sailing date: Jan 2009 Pros:
The service was great. The people were friendly. I don't know how Carnival can take so many diverse people and have them work as one - but they should take that recipe to outher companies.
Cons:
On disemparkment - the hallways should be kept clear of food trays, laundry bags, service carts.
Very nice - liked the paintings on each of the stairwells.
Lighting was good - except above the rooms - difficult to read, for example, the "stage", "conservatory" .
Other than that - beautiful.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Cavin our waiter was wonderful, very personable.
Who ever makes the seating arrangements did a great job selecting the people at our table. All our children and a young couple (ages 20-23) all partied together in the evening. OH - the food was awesome - don't be afraid to order exactly what you want - very accomodating.
Stateroom Quality Towel animals are the best.
Ship Staff Quality Always !!!
Entertainment & Activities Scheduling was fine.
Quality of shows were entertaining - but just OK.
I liked the carnival legends show the best.
Collapse List of Ports
Cozumel, Mexico We did the Ruins of Tulum.
Our guide was fantastic and made the trip.
He was really into the heritage of the Myans - he had to 2 Myan grandmothers.
We had refreshments at Margaritaville - it was quiet - not lively at all - good food and drink though.
George Town, Grand Cayman We parasailed - excellent trip if you have never parasailed.
It went off the back of the boat. The 2 guides were very helpful and made you comfortable.
We liked this port the best - however it was 1.25 cayman coins to 1 US dollar. I wasn't prepared for this.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica We did the snorkeling at Dolphin Cove. It was nice because the guides would point different things out to whoever was near them - stay close to them.
Dolphin Cove also has other activities - that anyone there can observe, dolphin encounter, sharke feeding. A family with young children could spend a good bit of time here.
Dunns River falls was awesome. Be prepared to get wet. If you think you are going to buy the video stay in the middle of the group. We were one of the first and weren't videoed at every stop.
Just keep walking through gift areas if you do not want to be hasseled to buy something.
Don't Miss: Absolutly have to do Dunns River.

The Most Amazing Vacation! by
Tara S from New York, NY
Sailing date: Dec 2008 Pros:
Everthing
Cons:
No Cons what so ever
I just came home after the sailing the Carnival Liberty and it was so much better than I ever imagined! The entire ship crew is SO nice and made every second of the trip amazing. I have never been on a cruise but can't think of a better way to go on vacation now. The ship is huge and something to do 24 hours a day. You will never be bored! I was afraid that I wouldn't since I wouldn't know anyone it wouldn't be as much fun. However, I met so many people that I now have new friends that I will stay in contact with. The whole experience was the most amazing vacation anyone could ever have. I can't wait to go on another cruise. And will surely go back on the Carnival Liberty ship!!
Ship Quality
Dining/Food The waiters end up knowing exactly what you want. You can't ask for better service than this!
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality Everyone is so nice. A few made it more memorable of course but everyone is so great.
Entertainment & Activities The ship director was great and the activities were endless amounts of fun!

Good Value by
MJG from Boston, MA
Sailing date: Sep 2008 Pros:
Our room- mini suite and the food
Cons:
Public areas (pool) were way too crowded and small
The ship was difficult to manuever around. Many "dead ends" when trying to get around. The pool deck was very small. The pool was only about 15 x 15 and it was always crowded and not conducive to relaxation. The ship was decorated nicely and clean. Embarkation and disembarkation was very simple and fast.
Dining/Food Good food in the main diningroom. Nice selectio of food with good quality at the buffet. Harry's Supper Club was superb and worth the extra moneyl.
Stateroom Quality Had a mini-suite. It was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a jet tub and full shower with excellent water pressure. Also had a double sink. Seperate dressing area and two full closets. More storage than we needed. The balcony was smaller than average.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities There were not enough trivia and games to our liking. The shows were good but not outstanding. Live band accompanied many performances. That was a nice touch.
Collapse List of Ports
Cozumel, Mexico Pancho's Garden is a great place for dining.
George Town, Grand Cayman A lot less shopping than expected. Tender service to port is a pain.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica Found the taxi drivers very aggressive and rude.

A Crusie To Remember by
Chrystal C from Schenectady, NY
Sailing date: Aug 2008 Pros:
The food was awesome
Cons:
It seemed that all the action was on one side of the ship (which was opposite from our room)
The ship was really big. All of the staff was very nice. Every morning you knew you would wake up to a staff memeber in the halls with big smiles and hellos. The ship was very clean. They cleaned your staterooms at least twice a day. The comedy shows they offered were great. The game shows they put on were very entertaining. The food and food servers were the best part of the ship (in the dining area). As for the buffets, they had really good food. I just wish they had the buffetts open longer. Although you could get FREE room service at any time, the seletion for myself was not very good.
Ship Quality The ship was very big, but it seemed that everything was on one side of the shop. Which isn't very helpful for the people staying at the opposite end of the ship. There was a lot of walking to get to things.
Dining/Food Everything was great about the food and service of the food.
Stateroom Quality The stateroom was always cleaned. The only issue I had was that the walk way into the state room was very small, almost couldn't fit our luggage in the room.

Cozumel, Mexico Cozumel was one of my favorites places we stopped at. The beaches and the sites were beautiful. The history is abundate. The shop people are a little pushy but that is their way of life. Senor Frogs was a great experience. Do not go there if you have small children and if you are willing to let the wait staff handle you.
Don't Miss: The Dune Buggy ride and snorkling was awesome. The service and all you could eat mexican buffett after and it was all done so nicely.
George Town, Grand Cayman We really didn't really do much walking around here. We ended up getting married on the island, which was very easy to do. I recommend Hearts of Cayman to anyone looking to get married in Gran Cayman. They did such a nice job.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica Just be very cautious here. The Jamaician people are very pushy. Do not let them take a picture for you...they will want a tip. The want a tip for everything. You can not walk around with out being harrassed to but something or converse with someone and have to pay for it.
Don't Miss: Duns River Falls
