A fantastic cruise! by
Darlene E. from Michigan
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
All of the workers were outstanding and very helpful
Cons:
nothing
It was spotless and we had the best stewarts in the world. They were Weyen and Gede. I wish I could have brought them home with us.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Our waiter was not very talkative and we seemed to always be the last ones out of the dining room. He was very professional though.
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality Our stewarts were the best!

A good cruise by
Laura G from Jacksonville, Fla.
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
the ports of call
Cons:
the shows
I have cruised several times on several different cruise lines -- including several previous cruises on other Carnival ships. Overall, I was not very impressed with the Glory. The ship was filled to capacity with people -- every activity involved a crowd. There were relatively few live entertainment activities -- the shows were of low quality -- no scenery or backdrop, no elaborate costumes. The live music around the ship each night was equally disappointing -- I thought the songs were being performed by karoke participants, only to realize it was the paid entertainers that could not carry a tune.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality balcony stateroom was small
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities no decor -- just actors or performers on stage; limited number of shows.

Getting bored and need to do something by
Mona K from Covington, Ga
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
Getting to do the excurtions
Cons:
not much to do
The ship was clean. It was ruff out at sea.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Enjoyed the dinners but the rest of the food on the ship was the same thing everyday. Only orange juice for my girls in the morning. Need more options.
Stateroom Quality Did find my room unlocked after he came in to turn down the bed
Ship Staff Quality Did not try to help at all with the split of my children in there clubs. One was 11 and the other was 12
Entertainment & Activities Nothing going on in all the bars. No bands to dance to. Dress up night was dinner and pictures. They should have had a special function of dancing etc.
Children's Programs The staff was rude and did not work with me when I wanted my girls in the same club. I was lied to by the company when I called and talked to them about this. They said there would be no trouble getting them together when I got on the ship. They spent the whole week with me.

Not what I expected by
Michele R. from Atlanta, GA
Sailing date: Aug 2009 Pros:
Excursion
Cons:
Too many people in certain areas during certain events
I may have thought more of this cruise if I had not cruised Royal Carribbean before. The food in the buffet was a disappointment much of the time. I have food allergies and limit myself to fresh salad, chicken and fish. Sometimes the salad smelled like mildew. Most of the employees could not speak English very well and had no clue as to the question I was asking them. I received confilicting directions from each one. The lunchmeat tasted like packaged and processed meat, not fresh. The food at the dining room was excellent and so was the service there. The gentleman who too care of our stateroom was wonderful. The counter for the excursion events was not always open when needed, so you had to go stand in the guest services line. When I stood in the long line for guest services, the employee did not know the answers to my questions and just read to me the directions off of the info sheet that we all had. I was misinformed about dinner. I was told I would be wait-listed and there was no assigned tables. That was wrong. I also did not know there were two elegant evenings, so we had to eat at the buffet (yuck). Sometimes a ship event did not have enough room for guests to participate, so we were crammed in like sardines (I hate that). The most disturbing event was that there were very loud kids who ran up and down the hallways screaming between the hours of 1:00am and 4:00am. I kept calling security and they only came out once. It was ridiculous.
Ship Quality The ship was like a maze. When we would ask for directions, each employee gave us a different answer. Not always as clean as I expected on some days.
Dining/Food Sit down dining room was excellent
Stateroom Quality The gentleman in charge of stateroom was wonderful.
Ship Staff Quality Stateroom employee was the only one who was excellent.
Entertainment & Activities Expected more.

Belize City, Belize Shopped around. Got a great smoothie at "Thirsty Joe's."
Costa Maya, Mexico Went on excursion to ride the Yamaha Rhino vehicles. Highlight of entire cruise. Had loads of fun, not that much fun since I was a kid.
Don't Miss: Any excursions to ride vehicles in wilderness or on beach.
Cozumel, Mexico We visited the Myan Ruins. They were neat, the tour guide gave hours of history information. The downside was that by the time we arrived, we were already hungry (after 1:15pm). We could not grab a bite to eat until about 3:30 from the local restaurant in a "to go" box. The tour guide kept us out in the direct sun for way too long. Did not tell us when we could change into suits to swim, so missed swimming.
Nassau, Bahamas Did the beach break, but was a bit crowded, hard to find a chair.

The Best Cruise Ever by
YoLanda J from Clermont, Florida
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
We loved the Camp Carnival that was offered. We took our 4yr old with us and he had the time of his life. It was like TWO vacations in one. We had ours and he had his own. He got to meet new friends. The Counselors were very professional and GREAT with the kids.
Cons:
Only problem we had was that we requested early dinner and was given late. It was not that bad because as a couple we got to eat together but our 4yr old was not able to go to dinner with us but only once and it was just too late for him.
We recently sailed on the Carnival Glory and had the best time. This was the first time we had cruised with Carnival and was very impressed and pleased with the service, activities, and food. The best part was that we traveled this year with our 4 yr old and Camp Carnival was the GREATEST!!! This camp allowed my husband and I to enjoy a vacation together and allowed our 4yr old to enjoy his vacation with us and he got to meet new friends. The Camp had great activities for the children and the Counselors were very professional and good with the children. My son did not want to leave the Camp. We cruised the Eastern Carribbean to Nassau, Bahamas, St Thomas and St Maarten. We took our son off the ship in St Thomas however we ended up taking him back to the ship after an hour because he kept talking about missing Camp Carnival. We attempt to take him off the ship in St Maarten but he refused and stated he was staying at Camp Carnival to eat lunch with is friends and play afterwards. The Camp was open until 10pm however you could pay small fee($6 per hour) from 10pm to 3am and your child could stay. This was great because it allowed us as a couple to enjoy the disco, comedy shows or just hanging out at the pool area. My son also loved the slide that was on the ship. The ship also had a great gym/spa/track outside on upper deck. Booking with BJ's was awesome because the pricing was just right and by booking with them we got an onboard credit and a BJ's gift card upon returning from our trip. We would definitely book with BJ's again and definitely cruise with Carnival again.
Ship Quality The ship size , layout and condition of the ship was great. The deocr was outstanding throughout the ship.
Dining/Food The dining and food was the best. We really enjoyed the deli on board. The only problem we had was that we booked early dinner and was given late dinner which meant that our 4yr old never got to eat dinner with us in the main dining area.
Stateroom Quality The stateroom was great. We had an outside stateroom which had enough room. We had King size bed and our son had a pull out sofa that turned into a twin size bed for him. He just loved his bed especially since it was very close to us. The pillows and mattress was VERY VERY comfortable and soft. We slept really well.
Ship Staff Quality Everyone was very friendly, nice and helpful.
Entertainment & Activities We loved the shows and especially loved the Ship Director-Butch which kept everyone informed on what was going on and happening on the ship. The Adult comedy show was the greatest. My side is still hurting.
Children's Programs We can not say enough about Camp Carnival. It was the greatest. It allowed us to have our own vacation and our 4 yr old to have his own vacation. He got to meet some great Counselors from around the world and great new friends. The Counselors were very professional and great with the children.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas The inside shopping was great however you got to walk or take a cab into town. It has a K-mart so you can stock up on snacks or anything you may need for the rest of the crusie since one more stop then at Sea until you return home.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten The shopping was great and don't forget to take your beach wear. You can take a water taxi to the town and go shopping and then afterwards you can enjoy the sandy beach of relaxation. Along the beach is resturants and shops also. The beer/drink prices were great so if you are a drinker, you can get in some cheaper drinking before getting back on the ship. You also are able to rent-beach chairs, umbrella, wave runners etc. to enjoy on the beach.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the beach time.

I had better. by
Kathleen G from New York
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:

Cons:
No Organization
Upon entering ship walking the the halls there was dirty cups on the floor and also In the elevators. All the glass elevators were sticky and dirty.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food
Stateroom Quality
Ship Staff Quality I made an appointment for a pedicure the day before for me and a massage for my daughter that prior evening when I was at the bahamas. My daughter had her massage that evening no problem. Next day was my appointment I waited 2 hours but they kept taking people infront of me who were willing to pay big money for accupuncture or facials. When I confronted the girl telling her that I had my appointment she kept saying I had to wait. Then after about 2 hours I told her forgot it. She said ok. She didn't care because other people were spending big money.
Entertainment & Activities Me and my daughter went to 3rd floor to play name that tune and the man never showed up. Went to customer service and she called him and he said he forgot. So we waited 1 hour for nothing.
Children's Programs The kids programs were very limited unless you have tuns of money for the game room. The kids were bored out of there mind.

Nassau, Bahamas The bahamas was great, just watch out for the locals they tend to sell you stuff on every corner.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas St. Thomas was the best ever!
Philipsburg, St. Maarten The place was the slums, disgusting other than the one beach we went too.
Don't Miss: Don't miss St. Thomas the place is nice and the people are great!

Great Cruise! by
A Traveler from Philadelphia, PA
Sailing date: Oct 2008 Pros:
The Entertainment
Cons:
I got incorrect information regarding the purchase of the DVD of the cruise.
The ship was kept very clean. The staff on the ship was wonderful. The food was excellent and the wait staff was even better. The first night of the cruise they asked us if we were celebrating something special and we told them our anniversary. Well the wait staff remembered and brought us a cake with a candle and they sang Happy Anniversary to us. It was so special and I was very impressed. The only thing I was upset about is that we purchased the DVD of the Cruise and during the opening entertainment my husband was choosen out of the crowd to be on stage and I had asked before I purchased the DVD if that would be on the DVD because it was on TV all week and I was told it would be and it was not.
Ship Quality The only thing I found disturbing was that the restrooms were not clearly marked.
Dining/Food The main diningroom was great. The buffet was ok but by the time we got our food and then found a table our food was cold.
Stateroom Quality The size of the room was ok, but the mattress on the bed left a lot to be desired. The mattress had two valleys in them were people have layed before. The mattresses should be changed more often.
Ship Staff Quality The staff was great. Very friendly and always had a smile.
Entertainment & Activities Our cruise director Butch was great. Very entertaining. He kept things going and made you feel you wanted to be involved. You can feel his excitment and this made us feel excited to be there. You can tell he loves his job.

Nassau, Bahamas We did the segway tour and I had the best time. The only problem I could see was that we didn't have enough time to do other things/tours.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Our tours were cancelled because they had heavy rains and areas were flooded out. I did manage to get some shopping done and really enjoyed this.

A fabulous cruise by
Claudine D from New York
Sailing date: Aug 2008 Pros:
The service, the food, and the port of calls
Cons:
They should have a movie theater
One of the criuse I've had. Sailing to central America on the Glory. I would highly recommend this cruise to friends and family.
I was very please with the ship and the entertaining. The crew personel was very friendly and accommodating. I give the criuse line a 8 out of 10.
Ship Quality It took me a couple of days to find the dining room, I think that the lay out could have been a little less complicated.
Dining/Food The food was excellent .
Stateroom Quality The size of the stateroom was ok so was the decor. The bed was too soft and unconfortable.
