A Lovely Quick Getaway by
A Traveler from Boynton Beach, Fl
Sailing date: Nov 2009 Pros:
Everything was superb.
Cons:
None, (The boat was rocking alot due to Hurricane Ida.)
Checking in this time, on Carnivial, was a pleasant experience. No wait or long lines that I have previously experienced.
Ship was always clean. Well decorated for the Holiday Season. In every venue, the service was fantastic. The food was good in both the dining room and the buffet. Bar service was slow in the Show lounge.
Ship Quality Very clean at all times.

Entertainment & Activities Our only regret is that we did not have enough time to do everything.

A Great Time by
Kim H from Brooklyn, NY
Sailing date: Oct 2009 Pros:
Friendliness of staff, Key West excursion
Cons:
Cozumel (like a shopping mall from hell)
The crew was always friendly. Our room stewart called us by our first names the whole time. The food in the diningroom was great and we stuffed ourselves thanks to Mario our waiter. The only drawback was Cozumel which was just a big outdoor shopping mall selling junk. We did not do an excursion there and if we do go back we will.
Ship Quality There was someone always cleaning. I thought it was very, very clean.
Dining/Food The food in the diningroom was excellent. The buffet dining was just okay.
Stateroom Quality Very happy with our room.

"Outstanding..." by
marc d. from florida
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
Virtually every aspect and detail, from the boat itself to the staff on it.
Cons:
Not taking a cruise sooner :). This was my first experience.
Book your trip today!!! I hope by saying less I'm really saying more...for finer details of the varying ships, go to their respected websites.
Ship Quality I'm giving a rating of 4 smiley faces outta 6 only because I know that the Carnival Imigination is one of the smaller ships in Carnivals line-up of boats (i'd love to see the larger more expensive cruises). Otherwise, to me, there was still plenty of room and lots to explore on this vessel. The decor was a lot of fun (neons, elegant, etc.) and well maintained throughout.
Dining/Food Right of the bat, the sit down evening meals we had each day at 6pm (choosing your dinner time was optional for us) were excellent. The quality of food and the presentation are only a few respectable notches below high end cuisine (i.e. the four seasons). It's great, it was a three course meal and all. Moving on, room service food. I was actually surprised by the room service menu (free by the way and availible 24/7). It certainly delivers and gets the job done and I really don't have any complaints regarding it. It was of solid quality. As far as the rest of the food, such as buffet style breakfast and lunch's and the 24/7 pizza/salad bar, well, it should be what your expecting. I smidge better the franchised restaurants but not as good as those evening dinners as mentioned earlier. But great variety and enough to fill you 3 times over:) Only one negitive really...every now and then certains foods would come across of lower quality or make you say "hmmm....it could of been better."
Stateroom Quality We had a no window statesroom and one of the more inexpensive selections and still we loved it. Its snug as you'd imagine, to me it was comfortable. Not good for people with claustraphobia.
Ship Staff Quality The best...hands down.
Entertainment & Activities Too many to do. LoL. Not worth mentioning because every boat varies with shows...but if you can think it, they probably have it.
Children's Programs They have a club for 15-17 yo's...need I say more. LoL. In all seriousness, I am a young adult, as you can imagine my knowledge for this particular review is limited...I was busy in the casino:)

Just okay. by
Stacy H. from Hamburg, NJ
Sailing date: Apr 2009 Pros:
The offshore excursions were nice. Cozumel Isla/ Twisters hot!
Cons:
Staff on cruise unable to answer questions about different ship events and activities. Wild goose chase with several different answers.
My first cruise was with Disney when my children were much younger. Carnival lacked luxury and orginazation. I highly doubt I would cruise with them again. I spent a lot of money on offshore excursion to make up for the terrible cruise experience. Very unorganized, spoke with a few guest on the ship who had similiar compliants.

A relaxing cruise by
Yvette W. from Fort Lauderdale, FL
Sailing date: Mar 2009 Pros:
Itiniary
Cons:
Food and Service in Dining Room
Adequate ship for 3 day cruise. Oceanview rooms are spacious and comfortable. Room attendant did a great job.
Dining room service and food quality was poor. I would have expected a much better experience in a sit down dinner, but it felt that waiter was just trying to get us in and out.
Casino personnel was friendly. Drink staff took too long to bring back drink orders. Room for improvement!!
Not enough drink staff in pool/jacuzzi areas..Definately missed opportunity.
Met some wonderful people, and still was able to enjoy cruise regardless of few needed improvements.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Dining room service was poor. Servers did not bring back "free" drinks, ie. ice tea until almost dessert was served. Food quality is below average.
Stateroom Quality Clean room. Bed a bit too firm for me. Bathroom was comfortable, shower was nice.
Ship Staff Quality
Entertainment & Activities Not to many activities on last day of cruise
Collapse List of Ports
Nassau, Bahamas Nothing new at port. Shops, shops, shops. Visited Atlantis at night. Basically stayed on ship and enjoyed less crowded pool areas and dining rooms.

Super Fantastic! by
Elda C. from Miami, FL
Sailing date: Dec 2008 Pros:
I enjoyed the jacuzzi and the friendly service. My kids absolutely loved the waterslides
Cons:
The food was a little bland.
The Carnival Imagination was an excellent ship and everyone should experience this cruise.
Ship Quality Very well kept. Clean, decorated nicely, corridors were well lit.
Dining/Food Many of the desserts were not sweet enough. I mean who can eat cheesecake without the sugar.
Stateroom Quality We had bunk beds! Sweet!
Ship Staff Quality They always had a smile on. Room Service was always on time. Stateroom Attendant was always around.
Entertainment & Activities Waterslides, Ping Pong, Jacuzzi, Pool, Children's center, no basketball court but they had Mini Golf.

Not impressed by
A Traveler from Ft. Myers, fl
Sailing date: Nov 2008 Pros:
activities
Cons:
food
The food in Pride dining room was mediocre compared to previous cruises I have taken on Carnival. Everything was poorly cooked and lacked flavor. The desserts, appetizers as well as entrees were worse than the buffet food on Lido deck, which is unlike any "fine dining" that I have ever had.
