Great Cruise! by
Angie S. from Coram, NY
Sailing date: Oct 2007 Pros:
ALL YOU CAN EAT!
Cons:
Not enough time at destination
All was great on cruise, from the food to the staff, the only thing I did not like was all the extra charges once on the boat but if you're careful then this will not be a problem.

Way above all my expectations!!! by
Jim O. from Santa Clara, CA
Sailing date: Aug 2007 Pros:
Clean, Courteous, Food, Room and Entertainment!!!
Cons:
NONE
My very first cruise and I have to say it was above all my expectations. Last year I went to Europe on a 14 day guided tour. What I have to say this 5 day cruise which I completed on the Elation was much more fun than the Europe trip.
Ship Quality Clean, Clean and Clean. Spacious and Clean
Dining/Food All you can eat and always to much......excellent quality
Stateroom Quality Always cleaned on a daily basis.

A wonderful and relaxing cruise by
Wilma H. from Orlando, FL
Sailing date: Dec 2006 Pros:
Service, room, food
Cons:
Having to leave at the fifth day
We just cruised on the Carnival Elation for the first time and we absolutely loved it. The ship was always so clean and our room service made sure that every time that we came back to our room it would be immaculate. The food was terrific but our waiting staff was even better. The bed at the Penthouse Suite was heavenly. First time that I sleep like a baby away from home. The balcony offered wonderful moments of relaxation. We're planning our next Carnival cruise already.

The Cruise by
gfh from FL
Sailing date: Dec 2006 Pros:
The crew.
Cons:
Not Carnival's fault, but the number of unsupervised pre/young-teens and their disregard of common courtesy and ship's rules.
Disregarding the very late night/early morning crew Christmas Eve party it was a good cruise.
Ship Quality
Dining/Food Although the food was of very good quality, the kitchen couldn't seem to be able to serve a "hot" meal. The main course of the 5 evening meals served was either luke warm or almost cold. The serving staff attempted to correct this but to no avail.

Grand Turk Island Interesting place to visit.
Nassau, Bahamas The total disregard of cleanliness in the city is an abomination. Too many hustlers looking for the fast buck. This port could be stricken.

Very nice cruise! by
John T. from Boston, MA
Sailing date: Aug 2006 Pros:
Nightly entertainments - showtimes were great!
Cons:
Dining time is fixed - should be more like Norwegian cruise with their freestyle dining (i.e., anytime dining)
It has great gym with modern treadmills, muscle toning equipment, and a great rubberized running track. I used these two facilities daily to burn off the calories from the food eaten onboard.
Ship Quality The Carnival Elation ship is clean & maintained daily by cruise personnel.
Dining/Food There was a variety of food. Very good quality food and drinks (I like the juice they have); however, dining time should be more like Norwegian cruise (guests can dine anytime, and don't have to go to a fixed dining time).
Stateroom Quality I like its big bathroom. Room was nice and clean. Room service could more attentive. Towels were not changed twice just because we came back from shore excursion tired and stayed in our room to rest. We had to wait until next day. Bathroom floor should be sanitized daily to keep room odor from accummulating over time especially if there were more guests per stateroom.
Ship Staff Quality All very friendly. Very nice!
Entertainment & Activities Nightly activities were very good; however, I think better comedian could have been selected I think... Cruise Director was lively & funny.
There were 3 ping pong tables in a very nice & clean Verandah deck; however, their conditions were not well kept - should be replaced. They all need new nets. The paddles were not good for playing.
Collapse List of Ports
Grand Turk Island Very nice swimming beach.
San Juan, Puerto Rico We purchased the rainforest tour. Tour guide was very friendly. The vegetation was very nice, but we were disappointed as we were in a lot of traffic to get there, & we saw just a few small birds (no parrots), no reptiles, no animals, etc. except hearing the Coqui tree frogs, & we missed our 1st seating dining due to traffic. :-(
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Magen's bay should be visited. Nice swimming. Snorkelling on the right side of bay. We saw school of fish around seaweeds and rocks.

Great time on cruise by
Rafael Z from Pembroke Pines, FL
Sailing date: Jun 2006 Pros:
fun and relaxing
Cons:
early dining
The ship has very clean and had a very pleasant crew.
Ship Quality Ship was very clean for the most part. Some of the public bathrooms ran out of soap; however room was kept very clean.
Dining/Food Excellent variety of food throughout the day; however try to get a late dining time because 1st sitting can be too early and makes you in a hurry to get back to ship.
Stateroom Quality I thought our rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was kept very clean by staff every day.
Ship Staff Quality Most of the serving staff is very friendly and from many parts of the world which made my trip very interesting. Cruise director very funny.
Entertainment & Activities Fun tours and activities on the ship
Children's Programs lots of activities for younger kids and older kids but not many for teens 16-17 late at night.
Collapse List of Ports
Grand Turk Island Sign up for tours early because they fill up very fast and there is not much else to do except go to the beach or hang out at the pool.
Don't Miss: Ocean tour - Island not very big so take advantage of the ocean
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) not too much time spent on the Island and had to leave early because it started to rain.
San Juan, Puerto Rico Old San Juan is an interesting old and interesting city. People are very friendly.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas very pretty Island with many nice places to shop and eat. Beautiful sand very enjoyable snorkeling tour.

An Awesome Cruise by
Joan P from Boston
Sailing date: May 2006 Pros:
varietyof activities on board never bored
Cons:
the price for bottle water and tonic was over priced.
The ship was beautiful, I loved the atrium.
Ship Quality The size of the ship was big enough for us, everything was spotless. Easy enough to find your way around.
Dining/Food Plenty of food, being a picky eater I always found something I could eat. The self serve resturant had more than enough food.
Stateroom Quality The room was in very good condition
Ship Staff Quality The staff were the best always smiling friendly willing to help at all times
Entertainment & Activities Awesome

Grand Turk Island Very beautiful place but over priced on food and drinks
Don't Miss: Margariettaville
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Loved the beach weather was the best, not into water sports
San Juan, Puerto Rico siteseeing tours were booked went walking in old San Juan
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas was not impressed on the area, from the top of the mountain its beautiful, the shops seemed to be over priced.
