Great time!! by A Traveler from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl
Sailing date: Nov 2012

Pros:
entertainment was top notch, ports were fun, ship was very nice, and staff was very friendly.

Cons:
unfortunately our cabin was above the disco (heard thump, thump ALL night - NOT FUN!!!). also did not like the amount of time we had in Roatan - once we got off the ship we had three hours in port. Not enough time to actually go out and explore the beautiful island (and it was a beautiful island,).

This was a first time cruise for my companion. He had a wonderful time. This was a perfect cruise. Ship was recently refurbished, cabins were nice and spacious, entertainment was top notch, ports were great. Overall we had a wonderful time and we would do it again. Our only complaint was as above, the time we had in one of the ports. We truly believe in helping the island economy and giving back. We like to explore the island and see its beauty. This was my first time in Roatan and I would have liked to see it and not just the Carnival made Mahogany Bay (where all the $$ goes back to Carnival).

Our only complaint was that our cabin was directly above the disco. We had the "pleasure" of being serenaded by the THUMP, THUMP of music ALL NIGHT LONG. In the future, I will look at the ship layout better before choosing a cabin. Otherwise the ship was very nice, clean and accessible.

Disappointing by Steve S from Southern Maryland
Sailing date: Oct 2012

Pros:
Ship and cabin were nice.

Cons:
Norfolk Cruise Terminal is terrible. (for a two day cruise)

The Norfolk cruise terminal isn't setup for a crowd that is handling their own baggage. There were 2500 people trying to use three six passenger elevators with their bags to board and only one elevator to disembark. Both ways took over two hours.

Worth the money by Eric M from King George Va
Sailing date: Oct 2012

Pros:
Much to do, much to eat, much fun to be had, TAM.

Cons:
Smoking in some of the clubs, long lines, getting which from my dinner table

This is my second time doing this same cruise so it must not be too bad. It seemed like they rushed us off the ship this time. SHip got back to Norfolk at 6:00 or so and they started call for people to get off at 7:00. Now for those that did not party all night and was ready to get off, this may have been great, but for me, not so great. All and all I would do it again if the price was right (smile).

Fun with friends! by Dave & Jaynie C. from Virginia Beach, VA
Sailing date: Oct 2012

Pros:
Playing with our friends.

Cons:
The food on the buffet.

Carnival Glory was clean, with good service & friendly staff. We did not appreciate smoking allowed throughout the ship. There were no smoking signs on the bar by the casino, but yet ash trays were provided by the bartenders for smokers. Very disappointing! We liked being able to sail from Norfolk which is close to home.

Dining/Food
The food in the dining room the first couple nights was not very good. The quality of the food in the Red Sail buffet was not great. The Deli and hamburger bar were very good. We didn't like the fact that to get "fine dining", required an extra fee in the Steakhouse, so we did not participate.

everything was great except for the food by A Traveler from Putnam, NY
Sailing date: Sep 2012

Pros:
Matt the cruise director, wonderful stewards, and waiters. Very good service

Cons:
Food - The food was not at all like we have had on other cruises. no choices in the evening - pizza only and if you were lucky they would still have some leftover hot dogs. One night at dinner I was unable to cut the pork roast on my plate.

This is our third cruise. The entire staff was wonderful, spa, casino hosts, shows, waiters etc. were great!! We were just a bit disappointed with the food. Not enough selection, food was at times cold when it should be hot. Only late night snack was pizza.

Just what we needed! by Donna M from Long Island, NY
Sailing date: Aug 2012

Pros:
Relaxation, on our own schedule...the crew was outragious!

Cons:
pool...our silver jewelry turned black

the room accomodations were great, the crew outrageous...in a great way! The food was quality and quantity unbounded...the activities were ok, overlapped a few that we wanted to participate in, but we had an excellent time! The spa traetments were a bit overpriced for the service we received.

never again will I book out of NYC by Smith from United States
Sailing date: Aug 2012

Pros:
Getting off the ship

Cons:
Lines,lines,lines

This was the worst cruise we have ever experienced. It was nothing but lines, lines lines...from the time we got to the terminal to the bar lines to the food lines to the dinner lines. and upon arrival we got this letter saying we could not board because of sickness. we had to wait 6 hours just to get on the ship. No boarding parties no welcome aboard nothing. the next day was not better and it continued like this the whole trip.

The entertainment was good but so many times we were so far away it was easier to just watch the big screens. Shows were good but if you got there to late you had to sit in the balcony. Also there were a lot of kids in the adult shows. NOT APPROPRIATE!!

Pros:

The dining room food was poor. We only enjoyed one dinner...all of the portins were small. They rushed you through soup and salad to get to the entree. Had to request coffee/tea every night. The selection of food at the buffet was very limited, and often the hot food was cold.
